Master Runner Am Badwater and Spartatathon
Analysis of participation and performance in athletes by age group in ultramarathons of more than 200 km in length So far, the performance of the so-called, Master Runner ‘was examined in ultra ripenes of a maximum of 100 miles. We have now studied what the runners create> 35 years on the ‘Badwater’ and on the ‘Sparatathlon’.In both runs, the top runners were 40-45 years old. While at ‘Badwater’ the men in the age groups 30-34, 35-39, 40-44 and 55-59 could improve their performance, the age group runners at the Spartatthlon ‘were unable to improve.
